  • Pelvic floor physiotherapists have specialized training in assessing and treating the pelvic floor muscles. Physiotherapists working in this field have additional post-graduate training including internal pelvic assessment and treatment techniques when indicated. Internal pelvic assessments and treatment are performed only with ongoing informed consent. Please note alternative methods of assessment are available such as Real Time Ultrasound Imaging.

  • Yes, as long as you feel comfortable. Keep in mind we can use the Real Time Ultrasound for assessment if needed.

  • When you have some fluid in your bladder it can be helpful for visualizing images of your pelvic organs on Real Time Ultrasound, so having a comfortable amount of fluid in your bladder can be helpful. Remember there is a bathroom at the clinic if you need to go shortly after your assessment.

  • Comfortable that allows for some movement. If we are looking at your hip or knee feel free to bring shorts with you to change into if needed.

  • Yes, Dry Needling is an option for treatment. If you are interested in dry needling, we will discuss this at your appointment.

  • In the driveway on the left hand side next to the glass double doors or on the street. If that spot is taken, street parking is available.

  • All Physiotherapy services are eligible to be claimed by extended medical providers. A emailed receipt will be sent at the end of your visit.

    Direct billing is available for Pacific Blue Cross.

  • Sometimes it is necessary for to bring your child along to your visit. Please feel free to bring your child if that is what works best for you.
