Hi, I’m Kjersti. A Physiotherapy graduate from the University of British Columbia (2011), Mom of two, wife, life-long learner and fitness enthusiast. I believe everyone should be able to experience pain free, fluid and functional movement. I love solving clinical puzzles and seeing my clients find that ‘ah ha!’ moment, it’s the best part of my job. One of my most important beliefs as a physio is that the client is the expert of their body. My role is to help you understand what is causing your meaningful complaint, how to optimize your movement, become more resilient to avoid injury and keep you going in your busy life. I look forward to hearing what is important to you and working together to make your goals a reality.

Previous experience:

After graduating from my Master’s program, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings from inpatient acute medicine, to mobile community therapy and also private practice. In 2015 I took my first course in Women’s Health and was instantly drawn to it. I worked alongside and mentored with the leading experts in pelvic floor physiotherapy in Western Canada and also learned how to use Real Time Ultrasound. After earning my Master’s of Physical therapy, I also completed other courses to compliment my skill set such as STOTT Clinical Pilates, Functional Dry Needling, the Integrated Systems Model, Manual Therapy Orthopaedic courses and many many Pelvic Health/Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy courses (see below). Every year I add to my knowledge base by taking additional courses to expand my expertise. Most recently I’ve started fitting basic pessaries in the clinic to help people with Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP). Stay tuned to see what 2025 brings to Redfearn Physio!
